Distinguished Professor,Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases, Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA

Dr. Go’s interests include nutritional factors in the etiology of disease, the neurohormonal regulation of pancreatic exocrine-endocrine functions, and regulation of gastrointestinal function by neuropeptides.  He assisted in and implemented a longitudinal nutrition and cancer prevention curriculum for the UCLA School of Medicine.  Subsequently, my research expanded to nutrition and altered metabolism and cancer prevention, utilizing molecular biology and metabolomic technologies both in vitro and in vivo animal models to study underlying mechanisms of phytonutrients in pancreatic diseases. Dr. Go has been involved in research administration as Director of Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition, NIDDK, and former Executive Chairman of the UCLA Department of Medicine. Currently, he is the Director of NIH/NCCAM Center for Excellence in Pancreatic Diseases (P01-AT003960).
